About the Authors

The Science of Seduction was developed by an interdisciplinary author team with expertise spanning social psychology, evolutionary psychology, sociology, gender studies, communication theory, and research methodology. The team's diverse specializations and genuine methodological disagreements — not unlike those between Drs. Okafor and Reyes in the text itself — shaped a book that takes multiple frameworks seriously rather than privileging any single perspective.

The composite student characters (Nadia, Sam, and Jordan) were developed through consultation with undergraduate students across multiple institutions, in focus groups designed to ensure authentic representation of the lived experiences of college-age adults navigating attraction, identity, and relationships in a complex social landscape.

The Swipe Right Dataset is synthetic, generated to reflect documented patterns in the dating app literature while protecting privacy and avoiding the misuse of real user data.
